19 August 1904 — Maraga | |
Friday. 19th [August 1904]. Elsie did not drive with us today. The Marquis took me round by Vidana a Carthusian monastery on the [illegible word] road to Agordo– It is a large building built in a melancholy spot close to a rugged mountain. No ladies being admitted we could only go as far as the outside door & then drove round by Sospirolo & back home. | |
