23 August 1904 — Maraga | |
Tuesday. 23rd [August 1904]. The Cassis had arranged to drive up to the Cadore with me this morning but the weather seemed so unsettled that we decided to wait another day. My plan is to go up with them as far as Pieve—they will return the next day to Belluno. I shall go on to Cortina & wait for the Alderson family who will arrive there on 5th Septr. Took a walk in morning with Cassis & Elsie into the town of Belluno. After lunch we also took a drive on the other side of the Piave—but there was much snow on the hills round us & a violent thunderstorm towards eveng with torrents of rain. | |
