6 October 1904 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Thursday. 6th [October 1904]. I took the Count in the afternoon to see the Cos: Hos: of wh he highly approved & there was a German sailor there with a broken rib. The Ct promises to try & interest the Kaiser in the institution. In the morning I went on foot to see Cav: Arbib to ask him if he knew the best way for us to visit the Castello Cittadella. He promised to telephone to a friend of his at Padua & to let us know. We finally decided to go to Padua by 8.20 train & Prof: Malagola will accompany us. The Count took his Italian friends to tea at Mrs Curtis’ & also remained away to dine with them.
