10 October 1904 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Monday. 10th [October 1904]. A quiet morning, rested & wrote letters. A telegram from Mr Kennedy saying he expects me Friday at Cattaro. Went out in afternoon ordered tickets—paid a visit to Carry Eden whom I found very unwell—then to Lady Pirbright who has arrived at the Grand Hotel. She kept me to tea which we partook of with her maid Mary & Mary’s brother McGinn who is Lady P’s secretary– Very stormy weather & the [illegible words] up.
