28 February 1905 — 3 Savile Row
Tuesday. 28th [February 1905]. Mrs Leveson Gower came to lunch with me. She is handsome & interesting & original. I had to leave directly after for the Ct Theatre for wh Mrs Silver had given me tickets. I dined with the Oranmores. It was rather dull as directly after dinner most of the party sat down to play bridge. It is a tiresome game as having spoilt society & being the rage just now. Those who like myself do not play find themselves left out in the cold. Let us hope it is only a fashion that will have its day & disappear.
