3 March 1905 — 3 Savile Row
Friday. 3rd [March 1905]. Thro’ the Oranmores I got an invitation to go to take tea with Mr Landon who had been of the party wh went to Lhasa with Sir F. Younghusband. He has rooms in Pall Mall Place & there has some of the curios he had brought back with him from the expedition. The Younghusbands were of the party. He is a very quiet retiring man– His wife née Maguire is well known in society & bright & talkative. He gave me tickets for the lecture he is going to give on 10th wh I am anxious to hear. I dined with Sir E. & Lady Poynter. Met there Sir P. Burne Jones—& others whose names I forget. Pleasant evening.
