10 March 1905 — 3 Savile Row
Friday. 10th [March 1905]. Mr Beaumont & Nellie & Charlie dined with us & we went across the way to hear the lecture on Lhasa by Sir F. Younghusband which was very interesting. Lady Y. made me move into a front reserved seat near her. The room was very crowded. It is the Burlington House University theatre. After the lecture views were projected on to a white ground wh Sir F. explained & which were very interesting. One longed to hear more abt the expedition than could be told in a lecture of a very modest man.
