Wednesday. 15th March [1905]. Princess Christian of Schleswig Holstein & Princess Victoria attended by Miss Loch came to lunch with me & Eda was glad to meet them as Pss Christian is Patron of her Lutterworth Hospital. She went off to some committee meeting & left Pss Victoria with me talk over the Restaurant. I took her to 20 Cork St where she ordered herself a gown & at 5 a maid fetched her & took her back to Windsor. I dined with Sir G. & Lady Trevelyan quite a banquet, Lord & Lady Reay, Mr George Russell—others I did not know. I went in the evening to Duchess Adeline Bedford where there were a few people & there met the Younghusbands. Adeline has begun a small “salon” in her pretty new house & it is pleasant there. | |
