20 April 1905 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Thursday. 20th April [1905]. Holy Thursday. I accompanied the Princess to St Marks at 10 o’clock to see the service there. It was long & interesting. The Patriarch officiated– There was blessing of the Holy oils &c for the year. In the evening Olwen & Geoffrey Oranmore arrived from the Riviera to spend a few days with me—& our house party only required Mrs Whitaker who came afterwards to be complete. Mrs Whitaker had been travelling in France with a son & came on alone on 23rd Sunday. That same afternoon we all went in a launch to tea with the Montalba family to the Lido in their cabin at Quattro Fontane. A pleasant afternoon–
