23 January 1906 — Calcutta | |
Tuesday. 23rd [January 1906]. Nela & I drove off to the National Bank of India to get money changed & then closed my account altogether. We went on to buy some books at Thacker’s. In the afternoon Mrs Harington took us to tea at the U.S. Club where we were entertained by a Genl Scott. There was a large dinner party in the evening. | |
