10 May 1906 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 10th May [1906]. Wrote a heap of letters in the morng. After lunch went over to the Hospital & to tea at the Eden’s garden where I met Lord Desborough (Grenfell) & Sir Cosmo Duff Gordon. They are on their way home from attending the Olympic Games where Lord D. had won something. I dined with the Curtis quite alone. | |
