2 December 1906 — Tile House, Uxbridge, Middlesex | |
Sunday. 2nd [December 1906]. I went to Denham Church with Nellie in the morning. Mrs George Montagu came over from her cottage near to lunch with us & afterwards I walked back with her to see her baby who is 6 months old & a precious boy. I had lent Ca’ Capello to the Montagus for their honeymoon & had not seen them since they married. She is American but nice, gentle & quiet. I walked back thro’ the wood alone & got just in time to meet Mrs Goodlake at tea. | |
