1 December 1906 — Tile House, Uxbridge, Middlesex | |
Saturday. 1st December [1906]. There was a shooting party—the syndicate got up by the Wyld brothers– Nellie & I walked out in the afternoon to see them shoot, but it is no pleasure to me to watch poor pheasants frightened into flying out of the cover in wh they have been brought up so that they may be shot down. | |
