9 April 1907 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Tuesday. 9th April [1907]. Malagola came to call on Connie in the morning. Dr Collisson & Mr Dudley came to lunch & the former played & sang to us afterwards. I took Connie & Mr Dover to the hospital & left her there & walked in the Eden’s garden with Mr D. Carrie was there and gave me handfuls of daffodils and forsythia. The garden full of spring flowers begins to look pretty—but it is still chilly weather. Returned to tea with Miss Chaffey & got home about 5.30. I found a young Mr Berenuis a Fin waiting to see me. Introduced by Mr Barclay Squire. I invited him to return in the evening. The Malagolas dined with us & a good many people came in the evening—amongst them Mr & Mrs Kenneth Campbell introduced by my sister B.
