11 June 1907 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Tuesday. 11th [June 1907]. Sr Guggenheim came & arranged with workmen about arranging the small room at the end of the hall. I wrote letters & did accounts. After lunch I went out in gondola to Missiaglia’s to settle about a present I want to give to Matilde Arbib who is to be married on 20th. She is engaged to a Mr Nahum of Tripoli. At tea time I had a visit from Prof. D. Giordano’s wife & also Ct Gino Marcello & his wife. At 6 Angela fetched me & we went in gondola to the public gardens. At 7.30 the Curtis came to dinner & in the evening a good many people came amongst them several English travellers staying at hotels.
