30 July 1907 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Tuesday. 30th [July 1907]. Mme Noce came to see me in the morning—nothing in particular—merely to chat. I modelled hard all day till 4.30. Then dressed & went to tea– Arbib wants me to see young Mr Stucky of the Banca Veneta to ask him to persuade the Bk to come to an arrangement wh they seem disinclined to do & will upset all that has been settled in London & Milan. I went to see Mme Rietti his sister & she promised to speak to her brother. I went on to see the General who is a little indisposed & then on to the Hospital but hurried back home as a big storm threatened. It did not come down after all—but it cooled the air in the neighbourhood wh benefitted us. Accounts of Ivor about the same not worse wh is some gain.
