26 August 1907 — Salce, Belluno
Monday. 26th [August 1907]. I set off by 11 o’cl train for Montebelluna where I changed for Padua. There we (Baker & I) were met by Giuseppe & Sr Arbib who came to meet me also & went on to Abano. I found rooms at the Orologio & saw the Dr who ordered me to begin the baths tomorrow. Arbib remained with me a couple of hours & then returned at 6.30 with Giuseppe to Venice– I had a dull dinner at table d’hôte & played patience in eveng got early to bed.
