8 March 1908 — 3 Savile Row
Sunday. 8th [March 1908]. I went off at 9.30 to the R. Chapel service. The P. & Pss of Wales were there with 2 dear little boys & the little Princess. Home at 10.30. Blanche looked in before lunch & later Monty. I telephoned to him to ask to speak to me about his giving up the trusteeship to my marriage settlements wh he wants to do. I said I would get Charlie Wyld to take his place. I went to lunch with Countess de Contardone & met her brother Sir Edward Durand & a Mr Kenworthy. The Css is living in a tiny flat in 33 Dover Street. M. Paul Sabatier was expected directly after lunch but he had not come after 4 so I came home– Several ladies came in also to see P. Sabatier & I left them there waiting for him. Hardly had I got in when Css Contardone telephoned that Sabatier had arrived—so I begged her to bring him to me tomorrow morning wh she promised to do. George Gordon came to tea & also Lady & Miss Fildes. Connie came to dine with me & we worked at chains till 10 when she went home.
