30 April 1908 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 30th [April 1908]. In the morning had a visit from Princess Bülow & Donna Laura Minghetti. The latter came to say she could not come to stay with me when the Bülows leave Venice as she has a German friend here, Herr Tagow who has come to accompany her to Bologna. I said it was very simple, that they must both come to stay here & so it was settled. I chaffed the Pss on the paragraph in today’s Gazetta abt the Prince’s remarks on the beauty of Countess Morosini’s eyes! In any other place these remarks would be considered rather an impertinence (tho’ I did not say). After lunch I took Princess T&T to call on Baroness Reinelt. | |
