22 May 1909 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 22nd [May 1909]. We all went to tea with the Montalbas—being their day. Mrs G. Forbes arrived to stay with me. Violet & I dined on board the “Victoria & Albert.” A very large party—dinner on deck. Besides all the Courts there were all the officers, Lady Radnor & Lady Helen Vincent (who kept all waiting for ½ hour). We did not remain very long afterwards as the Royalties were going out floating in gondola. | |
