Thursday. 1st [July 1909]. My 66th birthday. Packed & arranged matters. Went to the Hos: & Eden’s garden in afternoon. Dined with Cav: Arbib at the Calcina to meet his daughters Marcella & Matilde & the latter’s husband M. Nahum & Ct & Css Belmondo Caccia. It was so chilly we had to dine within doors. Iduna Bel: remembered it was my fête & they all drank my health. | |
