15 July 1909 — Carlsbad | |
Thursday. 15th [July 1909]. Connie was depressed & headachy so after we had taken the waters we left her to be quiet at Pupps Hotel to have her breakfast & Mrs B.J. & I drove up to the Kaiser Park where we breakfasted. Being fine the place was crowded. We walked home & I wrote letters– There was a thunderstorm in the afternoon & the usual rain. I read to Connie while she made bead necklaces & after tea I took a brisk walk down to the town. After supper Connie & I walked in the Neu Wiese. | |
