16 July 1909 — Carlsbad | |
Friday. 16th [July 1909]. Waters—breakfast at Pupps—mud bath– Exercises. Went at 4 with Mrs B.J. to Post Hof to hear the concert. It had scarcely began when a torrent of rain came on & we decided to take the ’bus back to Pupps & have tea under shelter– Then home & read aloud– Monsigr Stanley came in to have a chat before supper & to borrow a book to read. Had a frugal supper—an omelet & some butter—price 1 k. 50.! | |
