20 July 1909 — Carlsbad | |
Tuesday. 20th [July 1909]. Met Pss Stephanie at Kaiserpark at 9 & when she had gone down in her carriage we 3 walked back to the Kaiserbad where we went to the gymnastics & were joined later by the Princess. I went to my bath at 11.30 & then back to lunch. At 5 Mons. Stanley called to take Connie for a walk & remained on chatting till we were joined by Marquesa Capelli whom I had left at Venice & who has come on to make the cure. She is very ill from diabetes but is very brave. I walked back with her to her hotel the Goldener Schild & sat with her before she went to the theatre & then I walked back to Fasolt. After supper read aloud to Connie. | |
