3 August 1909 — Garry Hill, Bagenalstown, County Carlow
Tuesday. 3rd [August 1909]. Blanche had a lace class for the work girls & also one or two neighbours to tea– I sat a long while teaching the girls reticella work. Blanche & I walked round the water garden of the Beresford’s who live near. It is most beautifully arranged on the banks of a little stream. We observed seringa trees in full bloom—they must be different to those that bloom in the spring.
