14 August 1909 — Bessborough, Fiddown, County Kilkenny | |
Saturday. 14th [August 1909]. Bertie joined his family & another friend of his a Mr Gardner came one day wh completed the party when Myles arrived & little Ambrose Congreve came over to spend a few days. He is an amusing child & very talkative & the fun was to make him repeat absurd things thus setting the whole table at lunch & breakfast into fits of laughter. We often breakfasted & lunched in the garden even old Lady B. joining the party & enjoying it. | |
