20 January 1910 — 3 Savile Row
Thursday. 20th [January 1910]. Directly after 9 o’cl breakfast I & Kitty went out in search of a taxi & finding none disengaged took a hansom to Chelsea Embankment. There I left Kitty at Mrs Westlake to sit for her portrait. I went on to Up. Cheyne Row to work at enamels. It was past luncheon time when I got home. Kate lunched out. Blanche had arrived to lunch with us. Afterwards I went out with her in a taxi to Sloan St & then we walked on she to Eccleston Sqr & I home to tea. Mrs Eddie Eliot (Clare) came to tea. After 6 the Wylds & Kitty left for the Tile House– I went to dine at Cav Sqr Vere was there & also his great friend James de Rothschild they were at Cambridge together but “Jimmy” is now settled in Paris.
