11 February 1910 — 3 Savile Row
Friday. 11th [February 1910]. I was very worried over the monetary troubles of Connie who has managed to get into debt & Blanche & I have made a plan to get things put in order for her. Blanche took me out in the motor in the afternoon & after talking it over I decided to go to see Connie’s son Eddie & consult with him. Blanche’s little grandchild Christina is very ill & while she went in to the Oranmores house 12 Cavendish Place to see about the baby I went on to Clement’s Inn to see Eddie Eliot. I found him in his office & he suggested he should take all his mother’s affairs in his own hands. I went back & told Blanche who did not think the affair could be done in that way. I went home very tired & instead of returning to Cav Sqr. to dine I went to bed & dined there. Today Nell & Charlie returned to Tile House taking Mary Alderson with them.
