2 April 1910 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Saturday. 2nd [April 1910]. The 2 younger teachers started for London today. Mrs Hills was better & went over to the Cosmopolitan Hospital to spend there the rest of her time in Venice. I went with Sophy after luncheon to pay Angela a visit. She likes to know all my friends & receives them very kindly. Sophy went from there to join her husband on the Piazza & I went off to the Hospital on foot. Crossing the Giudecca in the steamer it was very cold & the wind was high so that it was bad walking along the Giudecca shore. I went on my way back to the Montalbas where I found a good many people amongst them Ola & the Bruces & we came home together. This evening by the day train from Rome Mr Percy Wyndham & his sister Florence arrived to stay with me. They got here about 10 p.m.
