22 June 1910 — Mezzaratta, Bologna
Wednesday. 22nd [June 1910]. A very hot day. The “Fraticello” lunched with us & then went to town. In the evening came a charming young man Folco Farinola who has inherited the Capponi estates at Florence and is good looking & intelligent. It was great fun hearing he & Donna Laura chaffing & sparring. He speaks English very well & goes often to London. He dined with us and afterwards we sat down to play “Bridge.” As I had never played in my life it was a game more “pour rire” than anything else. At 11 Folco went back to Bologna & we to bed.
