17 September 1910 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Saturday. 17th [September 1910]. Mrs Ady went to the Maritana Library to study in the morning. I breakfasted in my own room. Busy morning tearing up heaps of old letters which I know it is useless to keep. Took Miss Ady out after luncheon when I went to the hospital to meet D. Tommasini & settled with him what his charges to private patients should be. We agreed to 5 lire a visit. Home to tea & then took Mrs Ady out in gondola. Paid Mrs Curtis a short visit. Then on for a row & returned thro’ the Giudecca & the sunset was magnificent. The Adys went out again after dinner for a row in the moonlight & it was very fine.
