27 October 1910 — Mezzaratta, Bologna | |
Thursday. 27th [October 1910]. Got up only in time for 12 o’cl breakfast at wh were present Zanetti & Faccioli. There was a lively discussion on suicide the former pretending to be favorable– I lifted my voice loudly against the wicked cowardice of such an act. Da Laura who is leaving Bologna for the winter was busy all day with accounts &c & was rather depressed saying she felt at her age she might never return here again. We dined alone & then played double patience. The German Consul Kluftlinger came to see her but stayed but a few minutes in the evening & went very early to bed. Nela & Eda went today to Florence. | |
