8 November 1910 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 8th [November 1910]. Went at 2.30 to working party of the Linen League got up by Miss Bowyer to make the linen for the hospital. In the evening I had my usual reception to wh I had also invited the officers of the German training ship the “Victoria Louise” & the German Consul & his family. Several officers came & were pleased at having been asked. They seemed nice young men. | |
