29 November 1910 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 29th [November 1910]. There was such a storm of rain that no one could come to my evening except the Judge Castellani. I managed to amuse him by getting him to help to put the big puzzle together which Eda & Nela began with Lord Kitchener & which has laid on the table ever since. It was a great resource as without it conversation would have flagged. | |
