23 March 1911 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 23rd [March 1911]. We all went in different directions—weather wet & cold—but sun came out later. Paid a visit to Baroness Reinelt & heard gossip. The Css Morosini says I have returned on purpose to meet the Kaiser! What will she say when she hears I have come to meet Lord Kitchener also! Venice is always the same—very petite ville! | |
