31 March 1911 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Friday. 31st [March 1911]. Montalba came to do usual hospital accounts with me it being the end of our financial year. After lunch Lady Knaresboro & a lovely daughter called on me & went round the pictures. Then Eda & I went out in gondola to see Angela R. & sat a long time talking– Afterwards to see Mrs Curtis who has old Lady Mayo staying with her & Miss White Jervis arriving. We went on to the Whitakers for tea & met Mrs Miller Mundy who is here on their yacht “Narcissus”– From there we went to call on Concetta Malagola & to see the new house she has settled in since she left the Archives, behind the Barbier in a small canal very cosy & comfortable. A fog was coming up so we sent away the gondola & settled to walk home. Went on to see Mr & Mrs Price & found him better but looking very weak—then home very tired & it was 7 o’cl.
