13 June 1911 — Tile House, Uxbridge, Middlesex
Tuesday. 13th [June 1911]. Returned to town by train with Nellie in the morning. Nellie stays the week here. Blanche took us & Connie to Westr Abbey to see if we could get in to see the preparations for next week but we failed—a special order from the Earl Marshal being necessary. London looks like a skeleton town all carpenters work for the making of stands to view the Procession. This being Ascot week the traffic in the streets is much less than last week.
