19 September 1911 — Salce, Belluno | |
Tuesday. 19th [September 1911]. Lovely day—worked at beads & read to Mr Eden. Took a turn on foot in the evening & to bed at 9. The Dolomites were too lovely this evening when I walked home on the Belluno road. It was like a vision the mountains all in a pinky glow & reviving many memories that made one sad—all behind one—the things that make life joyful & inclining one to ignore those one has now. A horrid frame of mind not to be encouraged. | |
