19 January 1912 — Luxor | |
Friday. 19th [January 1912]. Mr Whymper got up a game of tennis for Eda in the afternoon in the tennis court of the Winter P. Hotel & we went there at 3.30. While she played I sat in the garden. It was a lovely day—quite perfect. We returned to this hotel for tea & then took a walk later to see the sunset. Telegrams today tell us of snow storm in England. Trains snowed up. We are happy to be here. | |
