5 March 1912 — Rome | |
Tuesday. 5th [March 1912]. Eda & I drove with Marchesa Cappelli in the morning & she took us round by Tor di Quinto where we saw the Italian officers exercising their horses at jumping a wall just over the encline & coming straight down it. It is a thing they are specially good at doing & for wh they are much admired. We ended in the Piazza di Spagna whence Eda & I returned to our abodes on foot. | |
