13 April 1912 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Saturday. 13th April [1912]. A bitter cold wind blew all day. Sir Fred Milner & Derrick his son, went with Violet Vivian to lunch with Mme Wiel so Nela & I had a quiet lunch together & then went out in gondola together—paid a visit to Bss Reinelt & deposited cards at different houses—returning home at 5 to tea. We afterwards took a run on foot to the Piazza & to see the Edens. Mr E. is now so much better. We hurried home just in time to dress for dinner.
