18 May 1912 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 18th [May 1912]. Very tired & no spirit for anything. Rested all the afternoon– Nela took Pss T. & T. out & I sat in my own room & read over old letters wh brought back many memories. Had a visit from Maria, daughter of Bernardino Benomar. She brought her husband to introduce him to me– I did not catch their surnames & I did not recognize Maria at first till she told he her name. Too stupid of me. Matt was not feeling well & went to bed before dinner. | |
