30 May 1912 — Mezzaratta, Bologna | |
Thursday. 30th [May 1912]. Left Mezzaratta soon after 9 a.m. Bid Donna Laura good bye as she lay in her bed. We had a long wait at Bologna station having got there an hour before the train left. It proved a very shaky one & we arrived at Venice very hungry & tired & I had to rest. We went out in gondola for an hour before dinner & I went to bed directly after quite done up. | |
