13 July 1912 — Mezzaratta, Bologna | |
Saturday. 13th [July 1912]. Donna Laura was up early this morng as we had planned an expedition into the town & set off at 9.30. I walked down the hill with the Fraticello & she went in the poney carriage. At the high road we found a fiacre waiting for us & we drove to a shop to buy little presents for our servants & thence to Rombaldi where we spent an hour going round to look at the antiquities he has for sale. I wanted to find an old chair on wh I can put the work I am now making in print ’ungaro– We returned to the hill before 11. It was a piping hot day with hardly any sun & we spent the rest of it quietly. | |
