19 July 1912 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 19th [July 1912]. I spent this morning in making my will. I wrote it out myself & hope it is all right. I am told that all the phraseology of lawyers is not necessary. We had a very refreshing storm of rain in the afternoon– At 5 I went out in gondola to the Hospital & took a turn on the Piazza– After dinner I went out in gondola to pay a visit to Mrs Curtis & Mr Latimer & used for the first time a lift Mrs Curtis has just had put in Palazzo Barbaro her rooms there being very high up. | |
