Friday. 26th July [1912]. Miss Cheffey came to lunch with me. In the afternoon had Mr & Mrs Mintern, Marchesa Cassis, Mr Wilson & his wife & child to tea. Later I took out the Wilsons to the Piazza to Boni the jeweller that he might see Mr Wilson’s beautiful jewelry gold, enamel, pearls &c. Boni was so delighted with what he saw that he offered to exhibit them in his shop window. They are really works of art. It was a lovely hot evening & I went out after dinner in gondola. | |
