30 July 1912 — 3 Savile Row
Tuesday. 30th [July 1912]. Nela Du Cane whose waiting on Pss Christian is over today came to stay with me. Nellie left for Lutterworth in the afternoon. I walked to 11 Herford Gardens to lunch with Sir Fred Milner where I met Lady Charles Bentinck & a Miss Bernard who is doing a water coloured sketch of Sir Fred. Derrick was also there taller than ever—it seems as if he had grown since he & his father was with me at Venice. I walked home stopping en route to pick up Nellie to take her to Savile Row. Nela had been out with her sister Alice for the afternoon & returned in time to dress & go to dinner with me. Capt. FitzGerald called & Lord Kitchener but I was out & he left word he will return tomorrow.
