2 August 1912 — Lutterworth | |
Friday. 2nd [August 1912]. We all worked at dressing dolls to supply a stall Eda is to hold at a Bazaar for the benefit of her hospital. In the afternoon Monty A. drove us Kate & I to a garden party given near by by a Mrs Goodacre—a charming English country cottage. Mr Goodacre took us to see his museum where amongst other things is John Bunyan’s cradle. He has also specimens of glass, china pottery butterflies &c. After this I went to see his collection of parrots some of wh are very tame & handsome– | |
