4 August 1912 — Lutterworth | |
Sunday. 4th [August 1912]. Went to morning service at 11. Mr Barnett preached in favor of the hospital. He stutters rather & is slow in speech. The sermon was short & not eloquent. Went to the evening service at 6.30 & Monty Alderson preached a good stirring sermon extemporary. After the service there was an organ recital & the organist’s brother sang tenor pieces—he has a fine voice. We supped late– | |
