5 August 1912 — Lutterworth | |
Monday. 5th [August 1912]. The Barnetts left in their motor to go north. We had enjoyed having them. She is a very tall handsome woman (née Lethbridge) & he is a nice looking man & gentleman. It was a stormy day & there were many heavy showers but it cleared abt 5 & Monty took Kate, Nellie & me for a drive in the motor round by Lord Bray’s estate. The motor is a fine new one (open). Monty drives well & not overfast. | |
